Welcome to The Right Guy. By using our platform, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Subscription, Free Trial, and Cancellation Policy
a. Users are entitled to a one-month free trial upon registration. After the trial period ends, they must select a paid subscription plan to continue using premium services.
b. Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their profile and dashboard on our website. No prior notice is required to cancel the subscription.
c. If a user cancels within the first 14 days of their paid subscription (following the trial period), they are entitled to a refund in compliance with consumer protection regulations.
d. After 14 days of entering a paid subscription, any payments made are non-refundable. Users who cancel after a payment has been processed will not receive a refund, but will not be charged any further.
e. If a user cancels or withdraws during the free trial period or immediately before it ends, they will not be eligible for another free trial. Any subsequent use of the platform will require starting a paid subscription.
2. User Responsibilities
a. The Right Guy serves as a platform connecting service providers and customers. We do not engage in any direct transactions or contracts between users. Any agreements, connections, or transactions made between customers and service providers are the sole responsibility of those involved.
b. We are not liable for any disputes, issues, or outcomes arising from interactions or agreements made between customers and service providers on our platform. It is the responsibility of both parties to ensure they are satisfied with their interactions, including payment terms, service delivery, and the overall experience.
c. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any content they upload or post, including descriptions, images, and links to third-party websites, is lawful and that they have the rights or permissions to do so.
d. Users must not post links to third-party platforms (e.g., job boards, property listings) unless they are the legal owner or have the required rights or authority to share such listings. Misuse of third-party content may lead to removal or suspension of their account.
e. The platform must not be used for the purpose of gathering, storing, or contacting businesses for marketing or promotional purposes. Any such use constitutes a breach of these Terms and Conditions and may lead to account suspension or removal.
3. Content and Intellectual Property
a. All content submitted by users must be original or legally authorized for reuse. By posting content, users confirm that they hold the appropriate rights, including licenses to use and share the content.
b. We reserve the right to remove any content that infringes upon intellectual property rights or breaches third-party terms (e.g., content taken from platforms like Rightmove or Indeed without permission).
c. If a third party contacts us regarding alleged infringement, we will review and, if necessary, remove the content in line with our takedown process.
4. Linking to Third-Party Platforms
a. Users may include external links to third-party platforms only if they own or are authorized to represent the listing being linked.
b. The Right Guy does not verify third-party listings or guarantee their accuracy, availability, or legitimacy.
c. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any external platforms (such as Rightmove, Indeed,Etsy or others) unless explicitly stated.
d. Any unauthorized use of external content may result in account suspension and/or content removal without notice.
5. Reporting Infringement
a. If you believe that any content or link on our platform infringes your rights or violates any terms, you may report it to us via our contact form.
b. We will investigate all claims of copyright or trademark infringement and take appropriate action, including content removal or account suspension where necessary.
6. Payment Plans
a. Service providers must select and pay for a subscription plan to advertise their services on The Right Guy. We do not review or approve individual adverts prior to publication—adverts will go live immediately after payment is received.
b. Our platform does not use a “pay-to-rank” model. Listings are not ranked based on how much a user pays. Instead, the newest adverts are shown at the top of each category by default, ensuring equal visibility for all active listings regardless of payment tier.
c. Once payment has been made, it is non-refundable after 14 days, except in cases covered under Section 1 regarding early cancellation of a paid subscription.
d. The Right Guy does not guarantee the acquisition of clients, business leads, or visibility levels through the use of our platform. Performance and exposure of listings may vary and are not promised under any plan.
7. Feedback and Reviews
a. We encourage honest and constructive feedback on our platform to help improve the user experience. However, any reviews or feedback deemed offensive, discriminatory, or harmful based on race, religion, gender, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
b. The Right Guy reserves the right to remove any reviews or feedback that violate these guidelines. We also reserve the right to suspend or remove user accounts for the submission of inappropriate content.
c. All feedback must remain respectful and relevant to the services provided. Any form of abusive, discriminatory, or defamatory language will result in immediate removal and may lead to account suspension.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data, including information about our use of cookies.
9. Booking Services and Scheduling Conflicts
a. The Right Guy offers a booking system to facilitate service appointments between users and service providers.
b. Availability displayed on the platform is managed solely by service providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of any listed time slot.
c. In cases of double-booking or scheduling conflict (e.g., via email or other external platforms), the service provider is responsible for resolving the issue with the affected customer.
d. The Right Guy is not responsible for missed appointments, delays, or disputes arising from scheduling issues.
10. Misconduct, Scam Reporting, and User Suspension
a. We take reports of fraudulent or inappropriate behaviour seriously. Users may report concerns through our designated contact form.
b. Upon receiving a complaint, we may suspend access to the reported account and review the case.
c. The Right Guy reserves the right to remove accounts or listings that are found to be fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or in breach of these terms.
d. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from interactions with fraudulent users or listings, but we commit to removing such users promptly upon verification.
11. Limitation of Liability
a. The Right Guy is not responsible for any damages, losses, or issues that arise from the use of the platform or any transactions made between users.
b. We make no guarantees or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the services offered by service providers on our platform.
12. Indemnity
By using this platform, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Right Guy, its owners, affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or legal fees arising out of or in connection with:
- Content submitted by users,
- Breaches of these Terms and Conditions,
- Misuse of third-party intellectual property,
- Disputes between users.
13. User Declaration
During registration or content submission, users must acknowledge the following:
“I confirm that I have all necessary rights or permissions to post any job/property listings or links to third-party platforms on this site. I confirm that all services or products I promote are lawful and fully compliant with relevant regulations. I understand that posting unauthorized or illegal content may result in removal of content or suspension of my account.”
14. Cookies and Tracking
Our platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information and to manage your preferences.
15. Age Restrictions
Users must be at least 18 years of age or legally able to enter into binding agreements under applicable law.
16. Media Content and External Tools
a. The Right Guy may create or publish promotional content (including videos, graphics, and social media posts) using third-party tools such as Canva, Animaker, or similar platforms.
b. By using the platform, users acknowledge that such media may include representations of services or features for illustrative or promotional purposes.
c. All rights to marketing content remain with The Right Guy unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of such content is prohibited.
17. Content Publication and User Submissions
a. Service listings, adverts, and feedback submitted by users will be published automatically without prior approval or moderation by The Right Guy.
b. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the content they submit is lawful, accurate, and appropriate.
c. The Right Guy reserves the right, at its discretion, to remove or restrict content that violates our Terms or is reported as inappropriate, misleading, or harmful.
18. Third-Party Listings and Business Visibility
a. The Right Guy may use third-party platforms (e.g., Google Business) to enhance business visibility and searchability. However, the display and availability of such listings are managed by the external providers and are outside our direct control.
b. We make no guarantees regarding the visibility or ranking of our company profile on search engines or third-party platforms.
c. Any technical issues or delays related to third-party visibility should be directed to the respective platform provider.
19. Prohibited Use for Marketing or Solicitation
The platform must not be used to collect, store, or contact users, service providers, or businesses for marketing, advertising, or solicitation purposes. Any attempt to gather contact information for unsolicited communication, promote external services, or distribute promotional materials without prior written consent from The Right Guy is strictly prohibited. Users found engaging in such activities may have their accounts suspended or permanently removed without notice.
20. No Guarantee of Clients or Visibility
While The Right Guy provides a platform for service providers to promote their offerings, we do not guarantee any specific number of leads, clients, bookings, or visibility as a result of listing on the platform. User exposure may vary based on factors such as search relevance, category activity, competition, and user engagement. By registering and subscribing, users acknowledge that listing on the platform does not ensure business success or customer acquisition.
21. Communication and Contact
a. By using The Right Guy platform, users agree to receive essential communications related to their account, subscriptions, transactions, and platform updates via email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
b. We may also send promotional or marketing communications only if users have explicitly opted in to receive such messages. Users can opt out of marketing communications at any time through their account settings or by following the unsubscribe instructions included in our emails.
c. We do not share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
d. Contact from The Right Guy is intended to provide support, notify users of important changes, confirm transactions, and improve user experience.
22. Modifications to Terms
The Right Guy reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the platform after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from the use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
